Dev initially trained and worked as Professional Chartered Civil Engineer managing the design and construction of many landmark projects around the Country. However after 15 years in this profession he realised that his passions lay elsewhere and he left this career behind him.
With an active interest in wellbeing and good health since his early twenties, Dev noticed that his regular regimen of martial arts training, cycling and yoga began to ease his long suffering asthma symptoms as well as boosting his energy and overall state of wellbeing. After receiving treatments in both massage and acupuncture and feeling significant improvements to his wellbeing, he realised that he would like to learn more about the human body and how to keep the body fit, strong, healthy and supple and his journey into the world of bodywork began.
Dev then trained at the prestigious North London School of Sports Massage and obtained a BTEC Level 5 Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage (the highest massage qualification currently available).
Dev has gained experience working for some top clinics around London, working alongside the best personal trainers, pilates teachers, yoga teachers and physiotherapists in the country. His Clients include professional athletes, marathon runners, as well as new mothers, stressed workers in a corporate environment and many others from all walks of life.
Dev continued to further his studies to be able to help people with a wider range of ailments and he has now completed a 3 year degree level programme in Traditional Acupuncture where he was awarded with a first class certificate, the highest score acheivable.
He now offers massage and acupuncture treatments from a clinic space located within LEAF Health in Hitchin town centre.
When not carrying out treatments, Dev’s interests include cycling, walking, Yoga, Tai Chi as well as playing guitar.
